Louise thanks the team.
The committee were thanked for their hard work throughout the year by the members attending.
The aim for this year is to form a social committee for all types of social events such as party in the park, car boot sales, days out etc. group.
Any ideas are welcome as are volunteers to join the group.
Leigh Patterson has agreed to head up the group and anyone wishing to join can contact Leigh by email gataleigh@yahoo.co.uk.
Recycling
it was asked if there was a possibility of organising another day for Sol Gata to attend the urbanisation to advise residents about organic recycling equipment as the last time they attended it was quite short notice. Louise will see if this can be arranged.
Chris Skinner could there be more bins provided for dog mess
Louise will ask the question, but there are bins in the parks, but she will ask what can be done to improve the situation.
Question raised regarding any intention for the council to reinstate underground bins.
Louise advised that former vice mayor Toni believes they are better, but the whole council will have to agree to it.
They are looking at cheaper options but only after the estate is adopted.
A question from the floor asked was there a possibility of reinstating some more bins for the residents of the urbanisation.
Louise will raise it again, but feels it won’t change until adoption. The hope is that at least the existing ones will be enclosed so less of an eye sore.
Proposed new junction off the motorway and the possible effect on the urbanisation. There have been talks with the council and Louise will be seeking an update as to what impact this may have.
Steven Etheridge asked about what was left in AVAL.
There is not enough money left to complete the works required, but the work that needs to be done has to be funded by the council. It will have nothing to do with residents, no money will be required from them. It was also reiterated that should the IBA be increased by the council it will be for everyone in Gata de Gorgos council area not just this Urbanisation.
Approval for the annual subscription to be free this year for existing members and 20 euros a year for new members. Seconded by Michael Clark and passed.
