Minutes of previous meeting

Site Adoption

Louise has written to the new Mayor about the agenda for the court case, but has so far had no reply.

Sareb sign

Louise will chase this up as so far our enquiries about whether the sign is legal or could be moved.

Dog fouling signage

This has been raised with the council and we have requested permanent signs on posts set in the paths also signs that can be clipped onto lamp posts.

We will make enquiries into dog waste disposal bins.

Election update

There was no majority in the elections Compromis and PSOE are now a coalition with PP in opposition.

Toni who came to speak to the residents at The Black Flame prior to the elections is now vice mayor and he has been put in charge of Residents and Town Planning. This should be good for us and the hope is that there will be better communication and working together within the council.

Amendment of Statutes

The new officers of the Committee need to be registered with Alicante, as does our change of address. The outgoing secretary President and Vice president need to sign the papers.

The address for the association will be changing to the vice presidents work address at her school.

It was agreed that we will send the paperwork to Alicante without calling an EGM VP Angie will deal with this.

How to encourage members of other nationalities

Suggestions were:-

 1. leaflet drop.

2. Steve Hartney suggested a social gathering.

3. Pop up shop for the association at a designated time and place.

4. Directing people to the website

5. Identifying further reps by nationality rather than address.

6. Steve Hartney suggests an association census to establish who is on the estate and how many    children etc.

7. David Cox suggests visiting new owners with a list of useful telephone numbers by way of introduction.

8. Registration stand for the association at a pre-set time and place.

Peter Bayliss will update the useful numbers list and members of the committee are asked to approach members from different nationalities to potentially become reps.

Angie has suggested using Facebook to distribute information about the association and the possibility of an annual newsletter. Steve Hartney points out that there are people on the urbanisation qualified to do these things and may be willing to help.

AOB

Just a reminder for people to dispose of their rubbish responsibly. If there is no room for your rubbish it is not appropriate to leave it by the bins. Rubbish can be disposed of at the eco park you will need proof of your address. Alternatively, Sol Gata will collect large items left by the bins if you contact them to arrange this.

Louise will be seeking approval for signs to go up at the bins.

If you live next to an empty property and the pool has stagnant water in it, you can inform the council as it may be a mosquito threat. David Cox has asked that Louise bring this up with the council.

Councils are no longer taking responsibility for updating habitation certificates these will now need to be done via a solicitor. The council will provide you with the paperwork, but the this needs to be approved by an architect. The fee of 60 euros will still be payable to the council.

The next meeting is 8/9/2019
