Minutes of previous meeting
Louise Kirkley apologises that in the previous meeting a list of questions was raised by Paul Elvey in response to the meeting with the mayoress on 20/09/2018 which were not included in the minutes. Any points raised can be addressed at the next meeting. See attached.
Site Adoption
Louise Kirkley attended the Town Hall for an update and spoke with Manuel the architect and the secretary to the mayoress. Louise thanked them for sorting out the street lights which are now working.
Regarding the state of the bins the Town Hall says that any work required is cosmetic and will not be undertaken at this time. However, the instancia is still in place and Louise pointed out again the health and safety issues with regards to the bins with holes in them.
Our lawyer Guilliermo has had a meeting with the technical staff and has presented a document about first occupation licences when Louise receives feedback, she will pass it on.
The Mayoress has said that an update on the AVAL balance and an update on the outstanding works will be sent out, but this has not happened yet.
There was a discussion with reference to the current court case but there is nothing new to report. It was reiterated that Guillermo thinks the appeal could take one to two years at least.
Update from Pete Whitbread
Pete had a meeting with the technical staff at the Town Hall about the situation with the weeds they came back to say that nothing will be done by the council at present.
Pete will arrange a further appointment with the deputy Mayoress to see what works we could carry out ourselves. He will ask specific details about what weed killers we can use and to see if we can strim the weeds ourselves or what company they could refer us to who could do the work on our behalf.
They stated that the notice board at the entrance to the urbanisation is in hand, but this has been the case for the last three years.
Louise pointed out the health and safety issues with regards to the weeds which are now breaking up pavements and are now beyond the capabilities of the residents to hand weed. The council have stated that they will only weed twice a year. Louise pointed out that the work needs to be done up to Garofers they have made a note of this and will investigate it.
The purchase of a strimmer by the association was mentioned, but as yet there is no answer. Pete will have a follow up meeting.
It was noted that the empty properties have now had their gardens cleared and should be ready for sale soon.
