Cruz Roja collections in Gata Residencial
The Covid 19 Pandemic and its effect on the economy and the livelihood of so many is catastrophic.
We have all struggled with various elements of the new normal but for some the huge increase in unemployment and lack of any income has led to difficulties with the most basic necessities.
On behalf of La Asociación I have offered to help the people of our town and have arranged with the Ayuntamiento to assist the Red Cross of Javea in collecting food and sanitary goods for distribution via the Red Cross of Javea’s food bank.
I am now in receipt of the necessary paperwork in order to become a collector, It is my intention that every 6 weeks I will be located at the car parking area at the roundabout by the park, at the end of Tarongers\Pins. I intend to start next Wednesday 19th August at 10.00 am till 12.30 pm and will be on site with my car to collect any donations.
The Red Cross of Javea have provided me with a list of those goods most needed and I attach it below.
I hope that we can all find a few items that we can contribute or if not, perhaps on your weekly shop add a packet of pasta or tin of beans or any of the goods listed that could go to the food bank.
