Site Adoption
Louise had a meeting with the vice mayor on 16th Dec also present was Peter Whitbread.
- Nothing further on the court case
- The bins in the park will continue to be emptied and if needed we can request more often.
- Cockroach spraying is 4 times a year
- Dog waste signage – Council cannot provide any at present, but they will be included in this year’s budget.
- Parks are being monitored by police. Council will be looking to replace the children’s play equipment, but again pending the budget. The council are also looking into replacement benches that would not require maintenance.
- The trimming of the orange trees fell under Sol Gata who will not do this until the site is adopted however the town hall are employing their own staff to take on this work they just need to be trained.
- M8 rockface – the Architect is telling the mayor’s department that this falls under the community to fix, however he is unhappy with this, so he needs more time to investigate with the architects department.
There is another meeting scheduled for Monday 3rd Feb and the council should have an update on the budget by then.

Report by Peter Whitbread
There is strimming and weed spraying planned after mid January.
The council are planning an ornate sign at the rear entrance to the urbanisation. Peter supported this but also stressed that signs for the urbanisation from the roundabout would also be required. The council have requested this in the budget.
Where there are holes in the ground where trees should be the council are looking into a resin material to fill them in. They have also stated that they would like to plant cypress (type) trees, however Peter thinks this may be unrealistic due to the expense he will be doing a walk around with the vice mayor to discuss this. Peter will reiterate that cement may be an affordable option to keep the weeds down.
The vice mayor still wants to provide a second sign with a map of the urbanisation at the entrance pending the budget.
Louise will try and contact the owners of the empty houses at the back of the urbanisation to see if they are clearing the gardens again this year. Also, to address the issues over stagnant water in pools and the situation with regards to unsold houses.
Regarding the collapsed or sinking pavements on M6 Louise has stressed that occupants need to submit individual instancias. Louise will however raise this with the council due to safety issues.
The council have stated that the remains of the Bertolin sign will be removed.
Peter has spoken with the police about youths causing damage in the fairy park and they will increase their patrols.
David Cox requested that trees be planted in Carrer Olivers.
The bank has reimbursed communities on M20 who had overpaid on fees because so many of the houses are unoccupied.
