JAVEA – High and low banks of the Gorgos

(Cami Cabanes)

Sunday 24th March 2019

27 walkers & 5 dogs met at Ramblars, Cami Cabanes for a figure of 8 walk along the banks and roads parallel to the Gorgos river. It started near a Javea municipal utility area. It is a relatively easy walk on mostly tarmacked road but with a few dirt and gravel paths.

The full circuit of 6.2 kms, took about 1 hour 40 minutes but that included photos stops and opportunities to snap some photogenic goats, the superb vistas to Montgo looking like a real elephant and the accompanying dogs who were loving the mud pools.  One of the, little white Albie, couldn’t resist immersing himself. So less white than brown and muddy. We also had views the Ermita (Benisaina) as we went down to the river bank walk on the return path home.
