Terrain | The route is on paths, some rocky and others concrete and pavement. |
Ascent | Negligible |
Duration | 1hr |
- From the parking, go passed the large, grilled well on your RIGHT.
- Take the concrete path towards the main Llíber / Jalon road but your path goes under the road through a narrow tunnel.
- Shortly after, take the path off to the LEFT.
- Follow this until you reach a wide rocky path going off to the LEFT. This is a barranco.
- Follow this and take one of the narrow paths off to your RIGHT as you near the [1]main road.
- Follow the path through the terraces as it goes up and parallel from where you have come.
- If you go down a small “cobbled” ramp, you know you are in the right place and shortly thereafter you will see the arches of the C17th Bassa de Arcs – “aljibe” (cistern) that fed the vines, provided people with an ancient swimming pool and provided water for the cattle.
- Continue on the path passed the arches until you reach the rear of the Sports’ Centre in Jalon.
- Take this path circuiting the back of the courts and then LEFT to the main road.
- Walk a short distance along the main road and just after the bridge look for the path going RIGHT and DOWN just before a house with hanging wheels and other oddments.
- Take the path and follow it all the way back to the parking. About ½ way along this path you will find the Molí Llíber which is actually in Jalon but called Llíber because this town used its water.
[1] If you go as far as the main road, you have gone too far.
