The number of members organising social events has declined over the years. We need more volunteers of all nationalities to help organise events on the urbanisation and the village.

A walking tour of Gata on Wednesday 29th April
In addition to the well known cane shops, Gata has interesting traditions and history and several small factories employing skilled workers.
Miguel Vives Signes has been the Cronista for Gata de Gorgos for many years and he kindly offered to lead a walking tour for us around Gata, highlighting places of interest and sharing his knowledge of the history of Gata.
The walking tour was followed by a visit to the Signes hat factory where we learned about the production of different types of hats.
